Digital Infrastructure Proposal

MATCH DAY
EVOLVED

Moving fan engagement from "Cardboard Cutouts" to "Digital Interaction."

Prepared for Rob Jones Victoria Park Strategy

The Problem

Current State: The "Cardboard" Era

We currently ask fans to hold flimsy, printed frames for photos. It feels temporary, cheap, and often blows away in the wind. It does not reflect the premium investment made in the stadium infrastructure.

Missed Opportunity

Static props cannot capture data, cannot update sponsors, and look dated on Instagram.

Future State: The "Squad" Experience

  • Digital Integration: We organize a high-end photoshoot with the GFC Squad.
  • The Magic Mirror: Fans stand in front of the kiosk. The screen superimposes Ross Allen or Roary the Lion next to them in real-time.
  • Dynamic Branding: The "Frame" changes instantly. "Match Day Sponsor: Butterfield" today, "Specsavers" tomorrow.

The Digital Fan Experience

Beyond the selfie, the kiosk serves as a dynamic information hub for Men's and Women's GFC matches.

Interactive Squad Stats

Fans tap player portraits to flip the card and reveal live season stats.
Covers both Men's & Women's 1st XI

Live Match Header

Pre-Match: Countdown to Kick-Off vs [Opponent].
In-Play: Live Scoreboard updated instantly from the Comm Box.

Video & Highlights

High-definition playback during half-time and downtime.
Feature: "Titan Goal of the Month" reel plays on loop.

"Attract Mode" (Idle)

When not in use, the screen loops cinematic Drone Footage of Victoria Park, acting as a dynamic digital poster that illuminates the entrance.

The "Command Centre" Concept

This is not just a selfie station. It is a Content Broadcasting Node controlled live from the Commentary Box.

The "Safe Selfie" Pipeline

Trust but Verify: Photos are AI-scanned for indecency instantly. They then appear on the Commentary Box iPad for a final "Green Tick" before hitting the big screen.

Social Sync

Automated Fame: Approved fan photos are automatically posted to the official @VictoriaParkLive feed. Turns every match into a trending topic.

Live Match Control

Real-Time Dashboard: A simple iPad interface allows the announcer to trigger "GOAL!" animations, change scores, and swap Sponsor Banners instantly.

Why Build vs. Buy?

The "Cheap Import" Risk

We could import a screen from China for £2,000. It would look great indoors.

The Problem: On a sunny Saturday at 3pm, a standard 400-nit screen looks like a black mirror. You cannot see the content. In a Guernsey winter squall, the seals will fail.

Buying cheap hardware for Victoria Park is a false economy.

Business Model Expansion

Beyond Match Days

By investing in these screens as portable assets, we unlock revenue far beyond the 25 match days per year. They become the "Digital Centrepiece" for high-end events across the island.

Premium GFC Events

Location: OGH / Duke of Richmond

Perfect for the **End of Season Awards**. Screens display nominee reels, sponsor loops, and live voting results in the ballroom.

Weddings & Corporate Hire

Location: St Pierre Park / Marquees

Rented out as "Digital Guestbooks" or "Seating Plan" totems for high-budget weddings and finance conferences at St Pierre Park.

Projected Asset Yield

Football Utility + £15k/yr Rental Income

Summary

A Stadium Worthy of the Team

We have the venue. We have the team. Now we need the digital layer that connects the fans to the action.

This proposal delivers Premier League engagement tech at a sustainable scale, protecting the asset value of Victoria Park.
